“We want to turn schools into Paradise”- IG Wala, Founder, Givfree Africa speaks on nationwide tree-planting campaign

The President of Givfree Africa, I.G Wala on Tuesday opened up on the plan of his organization to turn schools across Africa into a paradise of trees.

He made this known in a recent interview on a radio station where he spoke extensively on the vision of his organization to plant 270 million economic trees across schools in Africa through its “Givtree2schools” project.

According to Mr Wala, the need to plant this large number of economic trees is paramount as they would not only be of huge economic value to the continent, but also of tremendous nutritional value to the students of these schools.

He mentioned that this project would flag-off with the creation of the first Orchard in the Government Girl’s College, Dala, Kano State which would serve as a model to be replicated across the continent.

Speaking on his vision for these orchards, I.G Wala likened a Garden to paradise and said the plan was to “turn these schools into paradise” with the creation of orchards.
